Drawing on 1980's styling, the Sachs Express is very much a viable alternative for those looking for cheap transport. While the Express is not a scooter, it's the cheapest and coolest entry point to the road bike market.
The heart of the Express is a 150cc air-cooled four-stroke engine with a relatively low compression ratio of 9.2:1, so you know it will run on just about any grade of unleaded petrol. 8.8kw of grunt is on tap and there's five gears to shift which is done via the the clutch on the handlebar and the gear lever near the left foot.
Sachs Express can give you a cheap mode of transport if scooters aren't your scene and parking space is limited, either at home or at the office.
Comes in black, red and blue.
